This conversation cannot end at the Founder’s Table.

Hi,

One of my favourite parts of this year’s Rise & Lead Summit was the Founder’s Table. It was wonderful to sit with women building businesses, creating opportunities, and figuring out what growth should look like for them.

We spoke honestly about what founders don't always have space to discuss: building a movement, not an audience; building an AI team; more ownership and less consumption. I left the Summit feeling this conversation shouldn't end at the Founder’s Table.

Before I continue, let me remind you why you are receiving this email. You may have signed up for or attended a Founder’s Table at the Rise & Lead Summit, or joined one of our Founder's Table events. However you found your way here, I am glad you are here.

When I started Rise & Lead Women nine years ago, our mission was to improve women's leadership and financial inclusion in the workplace and the marketplace.

Over the years, much of our work became focused on the workplace. We have helped women prepare for senior leadership, executive and board roles, while working with organisations to create better opportunities for women to advance.

I am proud of this work, and it will continue.

But our conversation at the Founder’s Table reminded me of the other part of our original mission: women’s economic power in the marketplace.

Women are building businesses, creating jobs, solving problems and contributing to their communities. But many do it without the knowledge, relationships, funding, and commercial opportunities they need to build strong companies.

I want us to continue talking about how women can build strong business foundations, create predictable revenue, develop capable teams and put the right structure in place to grow.

That is why I am starting this dedicated newsletter for female founders. I will share lessons from my own 25 years of entrepreneurship, what I am learning from the founders I work with, mistakes that quietly hold good businesses back, and practical ideas you can use in your own company.

We want to see more women build profitable and valuable companies. Companies that create income, employment and opportunities. Companies that can attract customers, partners and investment. Companies that give women greater control over their income and their future.

We want to see more women take their place as business owners, investors and economic leaders.

If you believe in this vision, I would love you to stay with me.

Please also share this newsletter with another founder who would value these conversations. We need more women in the room, learning from one another and building stronger businesses together.

And I would love to hear from you. What is the biggest challenge you are facing in your business right now?

Reply to this email and tell me. Your answers will help me decide which conversations we need to have next.

Warmly,

Ebere Akadiri
